The Duck River Watershed Society (DRWS) is thrilled to announce its fourth annual Spring Clean-up event, scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2025!
The DRWS, a non-profit organization based in Coffee County, Tennessee, is dedicated to promoting sustainability, health, and education surrounding America’s most biologically diverse waterway—the Duck River. Home to over 650 aquatic species, the Duck River is not only an ecological treasure but also provides drinking water for 300,000 people every day.
Join Us for a Cleaner Future!
Since launching the Spring Clean-up in 2021, our incredible team of more than 200 volunteers has made a significant impact, collecting 10 tons of garbage and removing over 250 tires from the watershed. Now, we’re gearing up for another successful event, and we need your help to make it our best yet!
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, March 1, 2025
- Time: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- Location: Normandy Dam Boat Launch Area, Normandy, Tennessee
- Cost: Free!
This year’s event will feature exciting SWAG giveaways, delicious food, and, most importantly, the opportunity to contribute to the health and sustainability of the Duck River. Volunteers will help clean up sections of Normandy Lake, focusing on the winter water drawdown line.
